BOSCIA HOUSE
POP-UP
KLEIN JAN BRINGS STORYTELLING TO THE FOREFRONT OF DINING AT TSWALU, UNEARTHING THE AUTHENTIC FLAVOURS, HERITAGE FOODS, CULTURAL INFLUENCES AND CULINARY TRADITIONS OF SOUTH AFRICA AND THE NORTHERN CAPE REGION.
REGRETTABLY, THE RESTAURANT IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED DUE TO THE IMPACT OF FLOODING ACROSS LOW-LYING AREAS OF THE RESERVE.
WITH EXCITING PLANS IN THE PIPELINE TO REOPEN THIS SPACE, WE ARE CURRENTLY HOSTING GUESTS FOR A SPECIAL POP-UP DINING EXPERIENCE IN BOSCIA HOUSE.
Boscia House, a landmark century-old cottage named after the venerable shepherd’s trees (Boscia albitrunca) that define Tswalu’s semi-arid landscape, provides the intimate setting for a menu rooted in hyper-local, seasonal ingredients and complemented by generous Northern Cape hospitality.
The Boscia House pop-up dinner is complimentary for guests staying at Tswalu for a minimum of two nights.
To ensure all guests can enjoy this exclusive experience, reservations are coordinated by our team during their stay. We are unable to accommodate requests for specific evenings.
Parental discretion is advised for children younger than 12.
There is currently no lunch service.
The success of Klein JAN has always been driven by Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen, who brought the concept to life and remains dedicated to overseeing every aspect of the menu and the service. As the next chapter of this extraordinary restaurant is written, we encourage you to watch this space.
